Tell it the tanks are linked, pick which motor goes first, and if that motor can't start, the second one takes over on its own. Water keeps flowing. Power protection
Indian voltage is brutal. SwitchFlo is built for it.
Evening voltage drops, phase fluctuations, the unstable line when power comes back: all of them are hard on a motor. SwitchFlo reads your mains voltage continuously, blocks the motor whenever the supply sits outside your safe range, and holds it off until the line settles. Set your own limits from the app; they are saved on the device and survive every power cut.

Worth knowing
It reads the numbers so you don't have to.
Charts are only useful if somebody studies them, and nobody studies the water charts. So at the bottom of the Usage tab SwitchFlo writes out what it found, in the same plain sentences you would have used yourself.

A tired pump announces itself
Runtime creeping up while the household stays the same is usually a worn impeller, a leaking foot valve, or a tap nobody closed. You read it in a sentence months before you would have felt it in the pressure.
Schedule around your own peak
If most of your draw lands between 9AM and noon, the fill should finish before it rather than fight through it. The peak-hours line tells you where to put the start window.
A quiet week reads as quiet
No dry-run saves and no voltage faults is not a blank screen. It is the answer: nothing came at the motor this week that the controller had to stop.

Rust-proof sensors built for Indian water.
Engineered and assembled in Hyderabad. Cheap electrode probes pass current through the water itself, so they corrode and scale up within months in hard Indian water. SwitchFlo uses sealed magnetic float sensors instead. How to choose an automatic water level controller
An automatic water level controller is a panel wired between your mains and your water pump. Sensors sit inside the overhead tank and the sump, and the controller starts the motor when the tank runs low and cuts it the moment the tank is full. It is what replaces the manual switch on your wall, the daily climb to the terrace, and the guesswork about whether the sump still has water in it.
The category runs from ₹200 float valves to app-connected controllers, and those tiers solve genuinely different problems. The table below sets the two cheaper tiers against SwitchFlo, so the gap you are paying for is visible rather than implied. Where SwitchFlo sits

Six things to check before you buy
These are the questions that decide whether a controller is still working in year three, and they are the ones most product pages skip.
How many tanks and motors it has to run
Most controllers handle one tank and one motor. A sump plus an overhead tank, or a borewell feeding both, needs a controller that tracks every level at once.
Whether your pump is single-phase or three-phase
Three-phase motors need a controller rated for them. A single-phase panel wired to a three-phase pump is the most common installation mistake we see.
What the sensors are made of
Bare electrode probes pass current through the water itself, so they corrode and scale up in hard or borewell water and start misreading within months. A sealed magnetic float sits in the tank without any electrical contact meeting the water, so there is nothing to scale up and nothing to recalibrate.
What happens when the internet drops
A controller that needs WiFi to switch your motor is a liability. Filling and safety logic should run on the device, with the app as a window into it rather than the thing holding it together.
Whether the wiring is included
Sensor cable from a terrace tank down to the panel is a real cost. Ask whether it is in the box or quoted separately once the installer is at your door.
Whether there is a recurring fee
Some app-connected controllers charge monthly or annually for cloud access. Check before you buy, not after the trial ends.
